Pamela Walters received the greatest gift on Christmas Eve, Dec 24, 2023. Her ALS journey ended peacefully as she fell asleep and awoke in the arms of our heavenly father.
Pam was born in Pontiac Michigan on November, 5, 1955. She graduated from Walled Lake Central High School in 1974. After graduation, she moved to Florida, where she met the love of her life, Jim Walters. They moved to Tennessee in 1988 and settled in Chattanooga, where they raised their boys.
Pam was in the health care industry for 25+ years working in multiple capacities which included ICU and recovery nurse at Good Samaritan Hospital in West Palm Beach, Home Health Care for Upjohn’s Health Care Services, nurse/receptionist at Galen Group, and nurse for a local ENT.
After her health care career, she worked at Winn Dixie and Eaves Formal Wear. She retired from working in 2011 and became a military mom, when both her sons joined the military; something she took great pride in sharing with family and friends.
Pam was devoted to her family and church. She loved the small group they were a part of at Silverdale Baptist Church, where she attended for 32 years.
People adored Pam for her kind heart, warm smile, and bubbly personality. She loved reading, trivia, and playing all types of board games with friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Wanda Bragg and her brother, Darwin Bragg.
She is survived by her husband, James Walters, her sons, Brett Walters and Robert Walters, sisters Winona Cone and Melody Bragg, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:30pm on Friday January 12, 2024 at Silverdale Baptist Church in the Bridges facility, 7236 Bonny Oaks Drive Chattanooga, TN 37421. Visitation with the family is 12:30 pm until 1:30pm.
A private inurnment service will be held in the beautiful Chattanooga National Cemetery.
