On Saturday, October 16, 2010 at 3:29 pm, Richard Hudson, 67, of Chattanooga went to heaven to be with the Lord. He was a graduate of Central High School, a veteran of the US Air Force, and a Master’s Graduate of UTC. He was a self employed home repairman whose previous work experience included Volunteer Life Insurance Company and a retiree of TVA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Rebecca Hudson, and a brother, Robert Hudson.
He is survived by his wife of forty years, Gaye Hudson, mother-in-law, Geraldine Arms, son, Brian Hudson and daughter and son-in-law, Kami and Lee McCabe, grandchildren, Maria Hudson, Justin Hudson, Kara Hudson, Sarah Hudson, and Courtney Hudson, two great grandchildren, sisters, June McBride and Jan Trinks, brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Judy Hudson and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday October 21 at 1:00 pm at Silverdale Baptist Church with Reverend Tony Walliser officiating. Interment will follow at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 2:00 -4:00 pm and 6:00 – 8:00 pm.
