Robert Earl Benge, 81, of Ooltewah, TN, passed away Saturday, May 14, 2011 in a local health care facility. An Army veteran of the Korean War, he was a life member of the Collegedale VFW Post #1697 and also a life member of the 7th Infantry, 3rd Division. Survivors include his wife, Marlene Benge; son, Robert C. (Debbie) Benge, Ooltewah; daughter, Susan R. Benge, Mt. Vernon, OH; two grandchildren, Bo and Kyle Benge; sister, Dorothy (Henrik) Larsen, Jacksonville, AR. Arrangements are by the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 7414 Old Lee Highway.
