David and I will miss Bob. We were blessed to have had the opportunity to get to know him in Sunday school. He always had a smile and was a joy to talk to and be around.

Mr. Mowery was a customer of mine at Cherokee Pharmacy in Cleveland Tn. for many years. He was such a joy to see, always happy and smiling. I loved chatting with him! My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Bob was my first trucking  base. He was the best person as is the whole family.  Rip old budy I will  miss  you

Bob was a gentle giant. I say giant, because physically you could tell that he had worked hard all his life. I knew him as a solid Christian and a member of Ooltewah Baptist Church. Always ready with a smile and a gracious welcome. He had a great sense of humor and used it to make people around him feel at ease and welcomed into the conversation.  He had a way of making you feel important. In other words, he focused on you when you were having a conversation and was a good listener.  You felt like he was really interested in what you had to say. That is a special knack that not everyone has. Bob had a strong faith, and he lived that faith for all to see. He will be missed but not forgotten. He has made the transition all Christians long for, absent from the body present with the LORD!

Sorry to hear about Mr. Mowery. He was one of the best men I’ve ever met. He was sometimes fiery at the ball field but that only showed he was a passionate person. The world needs more Godly men like him. It was a pleasure to know him and his family.

We knew of him before we met him while moving here to Ooltewah.  A chance invitation to Ooltewah Baptist Church in a Cracker Barrel when a friend of ours asked the server for a church to attend. The server walked away and came back and told us Bob said try Ooltewah Baptist.  I thought she asked a coworker.  It wasn't until months later I met Bob at church. He has been a blessing and encouragement to Dennis and I.  Told us we can have breakfast with him anytime at Cracker Barrel where he had breakfast daily. And we did. We will miss Mr. Bob. I'm already missing my hugs. Our prayers are with the family who took very good care of him until the end.

Mr.  Mowery was a joy to be around. He was a faithful prayer warrior and always had a bright outlook on life. 
  He came to my office and read to one of our employee’s young daughter, Charlotte, years ago. Charlotte nor  her Mother Christy,  has  forgotten that. 
We are better having known Bob. Rest high upon that mountain dear friend.

Bob always walkrd what he believed. It shows in his face, his smile, his gentleness. He was a wonderful part of our Sunday school class I will miss him.

I remember growing up, we’d make random drives to check in on my grandpa and the Mowerys at the shop and say hi. Mr. Bob was always around smiling and picking at us and especially making jokes with my grandpa 

Our families have always been neighbors and like family and we’ve always loved the fun, joy, and community they brought and still bring and a lot of that came from how Mr. Bob loved his family and friends. And even the grandkids of his friends lol. 

Praying for this sweet family and celebrating that we know where Mr. Bob is and that he’s literally running around being with his Savior and family and friends that he’s not seen for a moment. Which also brings us hope in know that we too will one day soon get to experience the same thing. Love you guys!
