Robert James Race Jr.

He was born on August 18, 1947.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Robert J. Race, Sr. and Mabel Elizabeth Durrer Race, and by his brother, Thomas Race. He is survived by his brothers, William Paul Race (Kimberly Kyriakidis Race), Richard F. Race (Lois McConnell), sister-in-law Lisa Race who was married to Thomas, and several nieces and nephews.

An avid reader with a deep love for literature, Robert found great joy in books and lifelong learning. He generously shared that passion through his volunteer service at the Webster Groves Missouri Public Library, where he was a familiar and valued presence. Robert will be remembered for his quiet intellect, love of reading, and dedication to serving his family and those around him.

The family would like to express their deepest appreciation for Robert's care to NHC Chattanooga where Robert resided, Hospice of Chattanooga and to Chattanooga Funeral Home. Family gives God the glory for allowing Robert to move to Chattanooga, TN and spend his last days surrounded by family.
