Scott Peterson Burrows

Scott Peterson Burrows, 59, of Harrison, passed away Saturday, March 31, 2012 at his residence. A native of Pelham Manor, NY, he has been a resident of the Harrison area for the past 30 years and was the son of the late Charles Frederick Burrows and Jane Rutherford Burrows. He was a graduate of Nasson College in Maine and retired from 3M Corporation with 30 years of service. During high school and college he loved playing ice hockey. He also loved golf and water sports and was an avid snow skier having skied many mountains including the French Alps. Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Burrows; son, Scott Brandon Burrows, Charlotte, NC; two step-children, Heather (Tristan) Barker, Lafayette, GA and Paul Clark, Ringgold, GA; three grandchildren, Colton, Julie and Sydney Barker; 2 sisters, Carol (Jeff) Keen, West Hartford, CT and Mindy (Jim) Greenleaf, League City, TX; two brothers, Charles (Lisa) Burrows, Sewickley, PA and Richard (Cindy) Burrows, New Bern, NC; aunt, Nancy Burrows, Pasadena, CA; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday (April 7, 2012) in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Todd McElyea officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Camp Blue Skies at www.campblueskies.org in honor of his son Brandon.
