Mrs. Young was born on February 8,1937 in Soddy Daisy, TN to the late Herman J. Price and Mattie Eloise Haney. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 68 years, Billy R. Young; brothers, Conrad D. Price, Joe Price; sister, Mary Price White; daughter-in-law, Cissy Young.
Shirley was born and raised in Hamilton County, TN and lived in Ooltewah, TN for many years. She was a long-time member of Ooltewah Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sons, Conrad L. Young, Stanley K. Young (Su); 5 grandchildren, Daniel, Lindsay, Timothy, Mary and Rachel; 3 great-grandchildren, Landon, Anson and McKinzie Young; best friend, John David Kilgore and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 pm on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at Ooltewah Baptist Church, 5514 Main Street, Ooltewah, TN 37363.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
