Mr. Jeffress was born and raised in Chattanooga. He was a graduate of Kirkman Technical High School and a US Navy Veteran. Thomas was also a Shriner and Mason. He was actively involved in driving the crippled children’s bus.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Delila Jeffress; daughter, Debra Johnson; parents, Berta Lee and William Jeffress, Sr.; and brother, Bill Jeffress, Jr.
Surviving are his daughter, Darlene Shirley; son, Thomas “T.J.” Jeffress, Jr.; grandchildren, Mark Hastings, Jr., Paul (Sandra) Dickson, Jr., Joe Brown, Jennifer Petty, and T. J. Jeffress; great-grandchildren, Dylan, Brayden, Trinity, Brody, Austin, Bradley and Courtney; and sister, Charlotte Taylor.
All Services will be private.
