Wanda Sue Cody

She was born May 23, 1943, to the late George and Eunice Raulston. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dee Cody, Sr., four siblings, and a step-daughter.

Wanda was a tremendous cook and loved preparing food for her family and friends. She found immense joy in spoiling her grandchildren whom she adored. She was great mother, grandmother and friend.

She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Chattanooga.

Wanda is survived by her son, Dee Cody, Jr. (Tina), daughter, Kim Ledford (Russell), both of Chattanooga, two step-daughters, Charlotte Delk, of Muncie, IN, Deedie Price, of Jamestown, TN, two sisters, Rozetta and Charlotte, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Reverend David Hall officiating. Entombment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens in Hixson, Tennessee.

The family will receive friends from 4 – 8 p.m., on Tuesday, April 25th, and from 12 – 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 26th, at the funeral home.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Lantern at Morning Pointe for the exceptional care and compassion Wanda received.
