Donald P. O'Malley

Donald P. O’Malley, 81, of Chicago, passed away on February 21, 2022. He was a loving husband for 55 years to Sharon O’Malley; cherished father to Patrick, Brian (Annie), Erin (Wendell) and Megan; treasured grandfather to Michael, Kelly, Gage; adoring great grandfather Forrest O’Brian Miller; loving brother to Tom. He was in the Army National Guard for 8 years. Donald graduated from Wright Jr College. He worked for Timken/Latrobe Steel Company in sales. He coached baseball, basketball and football for his children and grandchildren until the age of 71! His pastimes were restoring AMX cars, traveling, reading playing solitaire; he enjoyed taking walks with his wife Sharon in Bridgman, Michigan along the Warren Dunes and Weko Beach along their Michigan home. He will be remembered for being a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather; being a coach, giving advice and telling great stories.

Visitation private. Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at 11am at St. Daniel the Prophet Church, 54th & Natoma, Chicago, IL. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
