My condolences  on hearing Frank's passing. God Bless him. He always made me smile and laugh each time I met him  with my husband Jimmy Merlo.

My condolences on the passing of Frank!  I will always be thankful to him for picking up my mom & me on Alexander Street to attend 8 am Sunday mass at St. Therese!  RIP Chinatown friend!!🥲

In 1971, as a naive young lady in my early twenties, I set out for Chicago from my home town of Wausau, Wis. to forge my future. Within a couple years, I had met Frank’s sister, Ceil (Dolly), who lived down the hall from me in an apartment building on the near north side. We quickly became best friends and remained so for life. 

Ceil and her mom and siblings welcomed me as one of their own and I shared many wonderful memories and meals with this lovely close-knit Italian family. It’s hard to imagine that Frank’s passing marks the end of a generation of Scuitos. And, Frank, the oldest (I think he was born a minute before Anthony?), was the last to leave this side of the veil. I can easily picture that entire family now experiencing a joyous reunion with God in heaven. 

Frank was a loyal and giving friend with a great smile and infectious laugh. I know he will be sorely missed by his many extended family members, as well as the many neighbors in the neighborhood which he ruled over for just about his entire life. Others will have to learn to pick up after themselves without Frank to keep them in line and they will surely miss his constant presence and socializing. 

Good-by, sweet Frank, until we  meet again.

He always loved his pizza! He also always spooked me when he would pop his teeth out! (Just like his brother!) I can’t wait to do the same to my little ones and carry on the tradition ❤️ 
He would watch over me and my brothers when I was younger, and had such an impact in making me the man I am today. 
Anytime I sit on a bench and people watch, I hope he is living vicariously through me. I hope to carry on that tradition as well. I’ll miss Frank so much and I’m glad I was able to say goodbye.

We are so saddened to learn of Frank's passing...may be rest in peace... truly one of the nice guys....he will be missed.

I am sorry to say that we lost a remarkable person in our neighborhood, Frankie Scuito. He was an exceptional individual whose presence left a lasting impact on everyone he met. My father-in-law, Joe Zito, and my late dad, Joe Joe D’Amico, were fortunate to call him their friend. Frankie was a faithful attendee of St. Theresa's 8am Sunday mass, and he would always show up with a cap on his head and a smile on his face. He was one of the great old neighborhood guys, and you could count on him sitting on his front porch on 24th Street, soaking up the day. My husband Joe and I would often stop by to catch up with Frankie, and often ask if he'd like a hotdog and fries from Ricobene's? Frankie would cheerfully reply, "who wouldn't!" mustard and onions were his favorite toppings. His passing has left a void in our neighborhood that can never be filled. Let us remember Frankie's kindness, warmth, and infectious smile. Rest in peace, Frankie Scuito.
