Nicholas Louis Rossodivito, age 67, passed away peacefully, on Sunday, November 24, 2024 while surrounded by his loving family. Devoted father of Nick (Ashley) Rossodivito and Tayler Rossodivito; proud grandfather of RaeLynn and Giovanni; dearest brother of Nancy (John) White, Patsy (Joe) Bologna and Vicky (Paul) Soberano; cherished uncle of Amanda (Phil), Kaitlyn (Alan), Vinnie, Madelynn and Matthew; also great-nieces and great-nephews. Nick was a one-of-a-kind father, brother, uncle, cousin and close friend. Anyone that met Nick, knew him for his big personality, electric sense of humor and bombastic presence. He was a man that carried a lot of pride for his Italian heritage and his mom’s spaghetti dinners on Sundays at “the old house on 55th street”. Some of his fondest memories from his vibrant life were of dancing to disco music at The Poison Apple club when he was young, muskie fishing in Mercer, Wisc., or sitting outside on a beautiful day betting on horses at the race track. He loved watching the Chicago Cubs, and the Chicago Bears but his favorite team of all was the Chicago Blackhawks. As a sales rep, Nick enjoyed a career within the trucking industry for over 40 years where he thrived on salesmanship and “wheeling and dealing”. It’s difficult to express just how notable Nicks personality and presence was during his life, so it’s even more difficult to express how notable the lack of that personality and presence will be for those of us he’s left behind. He will undoubtedly be missed and loved by so many for a very long time to come.
Memorial visitation for Nicholas will be on Saturday, November 30th, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Ridge Funeral Home, 6620 W. Archer Ave, Chicago, IL 60638. For information call (773) 586-7900 or visit www.ridgefh.com.
