Socorro Vazquez

Socorro Vazquez, née Arambula, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2022 at the age of 95. She was born on August 2, 1926 in Nuevo Laredo, Tamps, Mexico. Beloved mother of Maria (Paulino) Perez, Jose Martin (Alma) Vazquez, and Pedro Cesar (Patricia) Vazquez; cherished grandmother of Vanessa (Douglas) Merkle, Itzel Vazquez, Paulino David (Ambria) Perez, Alejandra Vazquez, Pedro Vazquez, Paola Vazquez, Diego Vazquez; treasured great-grandmother of Penelope Merkle, Maddox Perez, Luciana Merkle and Carrera Perez. She loved spending time with her family and loved to needle point and shopping. She will be best remembered for her friendships that she made while shopping down 26th Street. Little Village was her home.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Ridge Funeral Home, (Edward A. Tylka, Manager), 6620 W. Archer Ave, Chicago, IL 60638. Funeral will be on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 beginning with prayers at 9:00 am at Ridge Funeral Home, 6620 W. Archer Ave, Chicago, IL 60638. Funeral Mass at 10:00 am at St. Agnes of Bohemia, 2651 S. Central Park Ave, Chicago, IL 60623.
