Ted Joseph Przepiora

Ted was born on June 09, 1932, to Albert and Stefania Przepiora in Chicago,IL. After graduating from Harrison High School in 1950 he had a brief career as a professional boxer until he enlisted in the United States Air Force. Upon his discharge in 1952 he worked at AM-Forge as a fabricator of munition shells.

On June 26th, 1954 Ted married the love of his life , Eleanor (Majcen) and raised their family in the”Heart of Chicago” neighborhood. In 1960 he joined the Chicago Police Department were he worked for 26 years. During that time he along with his wife and children opened Eleanor’s Snack Shop which remained open for 20 years.

Upon retiring Ted spent most of his time in Upper Peninsula Michigan were he enjoyed fishing, gardening and the great outdoors. His love for family and friends was never ending.

Ted is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Eleanor, and siblings, Adele (Galarowicz), Lottie (Jablonski) and Mary (Sypniewski); his second wife, Lorraine (Turk). He is survived by his daughter, Mary (Hartmann), and his son, Bryan and wife, Anne; his grandchildren, Brandan (Lauren) Hartmann, Ashleigh (Nic) Baumann, Andrea Hartmann, Bryan and Ellie Przepiora ; his great grandchildren, Charlotte, Vivian, Genevieve and Mila; also survived by many nieces and nephews.
