Alfonso Gracia, 64, passed away on Friday, May 23rd in La Jolla, CA. He grew up in Mexico City, where he eventually met his wife, and they moved to San Diego to begin their lives as newlyweds. Alfonso is survived by his wife of 35 years, Iris Bello Gracia, and their two children, Wendy S. Gracia and Carlos “Alfie” Gracia.
Alfonso worked as a dentist for 40 years, dedicating himself to the craft, and specializing in oral surgery. For fun, he liked to bring home new and different desserts to try, as well as sharing home-cooked meals with his wife and children. Amongst his favorites were tira misu and key lime pie, and some of his specialties included rack of lamb and a classic caesar salad. We miss you.
