

Zeny was born on December 28, 1953 in Pilar, Sorsogon Philippines to the late Virgilio Abrantes and the late Dulce Garcia. She was the youngest of four children. Zeny finished high school at Cavite National High school and pursued an Associate Degree in Secretarial from San Sebastian College Recoletos in the Philippines.
Zeny remarried in May 14, 1994 to the late Henry D. Teroy after being widowed for 14 years. She has a son from her previous marriage, Abran John and gained six more when she became Mrs. Teroy.
Zeny worked as a movie house checker for RVQ Production in the Philippines, owned by the famous Filipino actor, Rodolfo “Dolphy” Quizon. She also worked as a cathecist for a local parish church and a social worker for the Department of Social Welfare and Development in Cavite City, Philippines.
Zeny is a very devoted wife. Her main priority was our Dad’s health and opted not to work to be able to assist him with his countless appointments, hospital visits and attend to his needs to the best of her abilities. She is a very loving mother, who never ceases to guide and care for her son and daughter in law and support them as much as she can. As a doting grandmother, she makes to appoint to be present in all their activities, whether school, sports and in the church. She drops and picks them up in school and help with their projects. She showers her grandkids not just with material things but most of all her unconditional love. Zeny’s compassionate and loving nature extend to her siblings, nieces, nephews and their children. She assisted them in every little way she can. As a friend, Zeny always lend a helping hand and a listening heart. Zeny is a faithful member of the Church of Christ by attending and supporting evangelical missions and participating in the various activities of the Church.
Zeny highly values hardwork and time. She’s never late in her appointments. She’s very precise, frugal, is not wasteful. Zeny loves to shop at Macy’s and the Commissary for the deals and bargains .
Zeny was survived by son, Abran John and wife, Sherlyn and her four grandchildren; Abran John Jr, Anatalie, Abran Jhervis and Henry Jhace. Her stepchildren and their spouses, Marylou and Ben, Larry and Beth, Roldan and Kathy, Josephine (predeceased), George and Beatrice and Shirley and Joel. Her surviving siblings; Esther, Melchora and Napoleon, and including her many nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements will be held on Saturday, 18th February from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Sunday, 19th February from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Humphrey (753 Broadway Chula Vista 91910).
Memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, 20th February at La Vista Memorial Park and Cemetery (3191 Orange St. National City 91950).
