Carlos Victor Ganzon Sibayan

Carlos Victor Ganzon Sibayan, 23 years old, of Chula Vista, California passed away on June 17, 2017. He was the first born son of Victor and Carmen Sibayan, born in Manila, Philippines, on December 8, 1993.

Carlos Victor graduated from Chaparral High School and decided to follow in his father's footsteps and become a sailor. He joined the United States Navy as a Fire Controlman, (Surface Warfare.) He served aboard the U.S.S. Fitzgerald and attained the rank of Petty Officer 2nd Class.

He was a member of World Financial Group, a financial services marketing company. In his free time, Carlos has a passion for drawing and playing video games. He had a zest for life that was noted by all who knew him. His kind and loving nature made him a favorite among family and friends alike.

Carlos is survived by his father; Victor Sibayan, mother; Carmen Sibayan and two younger brothers; Vince and Luke Sibayan.

A celebration of life and visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Humphrey, 753 Broadway, Chula Vista, California, 91910 on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, July 5, 6 and 7, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. A vigil prayer service will be held Friday, July 7, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated at Corpus Christi Catholic Church on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Eternal resting place will be at Glen Abbey Memorial Park in Bonita, California.

Honor Guard will perform under the auspices of The United States Navy.

In Lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests cash donations be made to help service members of the U.S.S. Fitzgerald who lost their belongings from the recent tragedy to their ship.
