Uncle Tom Juarez was Grandma's favorite. Battling his own Demons, she knew he was always there, helping, and always available when needed.
Uncle Tom, she spoke so highly of you, a quiet strength, not invisible to her, Grandma missed your company in the end, but knew you were by her side when it really mattered.
Your Mom Loved You more than can be measured.

My loving Mother:
 It's been one Month since you have pasted and I have missed you so much. But in remembering all the trips we took and all the fun times 
I feel that you are always with us. All the wonderful things you taught us encouraging us to always do our best. And you showed us by your examples. All the  condemnations you received from all your expertise knowledge that you shared with everyone. You where always there to help others in need. I couldn't thank you enough  for showing us how to live  to enjoy life and thank God for all that we have received.  Your FAITH gave you a beautiful full life and your love for people was incredible. I have people you taught in CCD  ask about you. You did so many wonderful things. Volunteer work at Birth line, PTA President and so many more. Thank you for all your wonderful examples. There are so many memories. It’s hard to just select just one. These few come to mind. I helped her learn to drive. She would laugh and tell people I was the only one brave enough to get in the car with her to help her learn to drive. Then there was the time I invited her to an opera for the first time. She didn’t know how to be quiet in the theater. She kept asking questions and people kept telling her to shhh.  Then she wanted to get a job and I helped her fill out an application and she got hired at JCPenney in the cosmetic department. She was frightened and excited and determined to find her independence. One of the funniest times was when I would take her and Catita to the military commissary and exchange. A whole New World for mom. She was like a kid in the candy store. Buying her grandkids anything and everything because the prices were so amazing. I kept reminding her that she could not buy anything because she didn’t have a military pass. She wanted to know how she could get a pass for the military! We actually had people following us, and an employee reminded me that my mother could only accompany me and not buy anything. Mother wanted to argue the point, but somehow I was able to get her to understand that I would have to pay for everything and she could pay me back .  
Mom, Catita and I did everything together for years. Fond memories. Rest.

We took so many fun trips. One to her childhood home of El Paso, TX. We met up with her cousin Rose, nephew Solan, and other family. We found her Catholic school. We even got to go into her classroom. I saw the closet where a boy kissed her and the stairwell that scared her. It was a wonderful trip.

My sincere and loving condolences to the family.  Catalina was my great Aunt and was so very nice to me as I was growing up. She was a beacon of light and love. RIP, Catalina.

I always looked forward to our lunches at the Galley At The Marina and going on walks to see the shops—a wonderful memory to celebrate your 100th Birthday at our favorite place.

I always admired your spirit and independence.  Such a strong woman.  Ahead of your time.  Thank you for sharing with me why you loved elephants.  You will be missed.  Love you!!!
