David is survived by their wife, Consuelo Hortencia Villarreal; daughter Alejandra Ivette Villarreal; son-in-law Alfredo G. Zavala; son Julio Cesar Villarreal; daughter-in-law Maria Teresa Villarreal; daughter Fernanda Peñuelas; son-in-law Noel Peñuelas Aboytes; daughter Ilse Melisa Villarreal; and son-in-law Irineo Cisneros Cruz; grandson Lucas Mateo Zavala, grandson Noe Fabian Villarreal, granddaughter Citlali Julieta Villarreal, granddaughter Sol Quetzali Villarreal, granddaughter Maria Fernanda Peñuelas Villarreal, grandson Noel Mauricio Peñuelas Villarreal and grandson David Fernando Peñuelas Villarreal.

David was preceded in death by; son Mauricio Villarreal.

A celebration of life for David will be held Thursday, February 28, 2019 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel Chula Vista, 753 Broadway, Chula Vista, CA 91910. A nicheside service will occur Thursday, February 28, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Cypress View Mausoleum, San Diego, California. A final resting place will occur Thursday, February 28, 2019 at Cypress View Mausoleum, San Diego, California.
