Donald Thomas Donnell

He was born on March 23, 1961 in Portsmouth, son of John L. "Jack" and Mary G. (Casteel) Donnell.

Donny was a graduate of Portsmouth High School, Class of 1979 and served his country in the United States Navy.

He was employed at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard until his transfer to the San Diego Naval Shipyard in 2009.

Donny loved California, his job, traveling, but most of all, he loved his family.

Besides his mother and father of North Hampton, survivors include his wife, Julie (Coombs) Donnell of San Diego, Calif.; a daughter, Angela Turner of Conn.; a son, Matthew Donnell of N.H.; The lights of his life, his grandchildren, Madison and Nevaeh Turner of Conn.; two sisters, Joanne Lamoureux and her husband, Dean of Portsmouth and Deborah Williams and her husband, James of McChord AFB, Washington; two brothers, Shawn Donnell of North Hampton and Bradley Donnell and his wife, Kathy of Rochester; aunts, uncles and cousins.

Services — a memorial visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sat., March 24, 2012 at the J. Verne Wood Funeral Home, Buckminster Chapel, 84 Broad Street, Portsmouth.
