Dora Alicia Leal

Dora Alicia Leal Carreño Castro, 63 years old, of San Diego, passed away on January 1, 2016. She was born in Tecate, Baja California, on September 9, 1952. Dora received a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Colegió De Tecate. On July 6, 1974 she married the love of her life, Feliciano Leal Rodriguez. They were blessed with 41 years of marriage and five children; Roberto, Octavio, Dora, Sergio, and Nancy.

Dora enjoyed being a mother and taking care of her family in addition to having a successful career in Environmental Services. She worked for Kaiser, Alvarado Hospital, Glen Abbey and in Elderly Care. She also found time to work for St. Jude's Children's Hospital non-profit organization. Her passions in life were spending time with her grandchildren, sewing, baking and catering. She will be remembered all by who knew her for her kind and caring disposition.

Dora is survived by her husband, Feliciano Leal, her three sons, Roberto, Octavio and Sergio Leal, and her two daughters, Dora and Nancy Leal. In addition, her legacy includes her grandchildren; Abraham and Anabel Torres, Israel Constantino, Maritza, Briana, Roberto, Citaly, Angel and Angie Leal, and Eddie Andrew Lopez. Two surviving sisters; Erminia and Guadalupe Carreño, and six surving brothers; Hector, Ricardo, Beto, Fernando, Octavio, and Jesus Carreño.

A celebration of Dora's life and visitation will take place at Latino-Americana Recinto Funeral Home, 470 Boulevard Defensores, Colonia Downey, Tecate, Baja California, Mexico on Friday, January 8, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated in her honor at Igelsia Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe in Tecate, on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. A procession will follow to her eternal resting place at Panteón Tecate Municipal.
