He is survived by his wife and soulmate of 64 years, Aurora Del Carmen Castro and six children: Aurora
(Carmela) Castro, Guadalupe Handy, Lourdes Cecilia Castro, Hector Raul Castro Jr., Elizabeth Nogales, and Cristina Castro. He was a loving grandfather to Melissa Sitmann, Joshua Handy, Frankie Nogales, Carissa Nogales, Brianna Nogales, and Evgeniya Audelia Lautt.
Born in Chula Vista, California, April 15, 1934, he was the son of Fernando and Audelia Castro. He attended Chula Vista Public Schools and graduated from Chula Vista High School in 1953.
He worked for Rohr Industries for all of his adult life as he began his career at the age of eighteen and retired as a Supervisor after working with Rohr Industries for 41 years.
Besides his wife, children, and grandchildren, he is survived by his sisters: Hortencia Asuncion and Mary Helen Sortillion. Hector was predeceased by his brothers Fernando Castro Jr. and Manual Castro.
During his 85 years of life he was able to witness his children and grandchildren grow, and have the opportunity to live a humbled life traveling the world.
