

Upon graduation from high school Hope married the love of her life, Raymond Ernest Peterson on December 2, 1944. They were blessed with 60 years of marriage and 5 children, Ken, Hope, Susan, Robert and Laura.
Hope worked for Convair and Rohr Industries for approximately 10 years, then for the Sweetwater Union School District for another 15 years. Throughout the years found time to become a member of the Elks, Moose, American Legion, Scottish Rites, Masons, Norman Senior Center and actively participate as a member of her church, Most Precious Blood in Chula Vista. Other passions in her life included traveling, reading, working cross word puzzles, and gambling at the local Indian casinos. On top of her list of activities was spending time with her family.
Hope is survived by her children, Ken Peterson, Hope Johnson ( husband John), Susan Peterson, Robert Peterson (wife Darlene), and Laura Schley, (husband Bart Schley). In addition, her legacy includes her nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
A funeral mass will be held at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, 1245 4th Avenue, Chula Vista, CA, 91911 on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 10:00 a.m.
Final resting place will be next to her husband, Raymond, at Ft. Rosecrans National Cemetery in San Diego, California.
