Ines E. Cortez

Ines E. Cortez of Chula Vista, CA passed away peacefully at her home at the age of 82 years old. Ines was born on April 20, 1933 in Mexico City, Mexico to Narciso LasoDeLaVega and Dolores Escalante. She is survived by sons Victor, Leobardo Jr. (Tomasa), Angel, Miguel (Juanita), Alejandro, Daniel, Eduardo, daughters Virginia (Jim), Carolina Penardo, sisters Rosy (John) Estrada, Catalina Cortez, brother-in-law Albert Rivera, sister -in-law Graciela Castillo, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Ines is preceded in death by her Husband Leobardo, daughter Carolina Cortez, daughter-in-laws Martha, Carmen, sister Leonor Rivera, brother Narciso Castillo

Inez was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother. She loved to have family gathering and especially cooking. As her son Daniel said,

"She Loved to Cook". A viewing will take place on Wednesday, June 10th from 5:00pm-9:00pm and a Celebration of Life on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at 11:00 am in the Serenity Chapel located at Funeraria Del Angel Humphrey: 753 Broadway, Chula Vista, CA followed by burial at Greenwood Memorial Park. She will be laid to rest next to husband Leobardo.
