Jerry and I were neighbors and became good friends after Peggy died. We were US Navy retired and found we had a lot in common. I enjoyed Saturday morning breakfasts with him during the past year. He was always positive. I miss him very much.

Jerry and Peggy used to work for the Building Division and came back as rehires during one of the firestorms, screening customers at the reception booth. Jerry had a sense of humor few could match. I'll miss him (and Peggy too).

After having to deal with a young "by the book" inspector that was driving us nuts, Jerry came on the scene with his calm demeanor and common sense.  What a blessing he was!  We loved his sense of humor and our dogs, Butch and Sundance, loved the milk bones he brought them.  He erased all the bad thoughts we had about building inspectors! LOL!  He will be missed by many!

We met Jerry when he arrived for a building inspection and proceeded to walk past us to administer large Milk Bones to befriend our barking dogs - without concern for his fingers.  Buster soon learned that Jerry carried a spare atop his tape measure and would be glued nose-to-hip until Jerry parted with the second one. This was the first of many memories we have from years of friendship with Jerry & Peggy. Giving, funny, interesting & interested in everything - all that you could want in a friend.  You always felt better after spending time with him. We miss him, and our thoughts & love are with his family.

I know this is for Kemit but I always think of them as a duo. I met Jerry and Peggy during the fires of 2003 when they came in to help us at the building department and in turned helped alot of San Diegans during that terrible time.  They were fun loving helpful people and they were a joy to be around.  I didn't know them as long as some people did but they both touched my life in a positive way in the short period of time I knew them both.

Jerry helped my husband, Walter, pass an exam for promotion in the SeaBees, and they continued their friendship until death parted them in 2003 when Walter passed. Since then, I have continued a correspondence with Jerry, offering what help I could after Peg passed, sharing many funny stories and incidents between us. He's with Peg again, and the world has suffered a tremendous loss with their passing.

Kermit helped my husband, Efton, install our bathroom cabinet in our house.  He was very kind to us and we always appreciated that.  He used to bring fruit from his yard to work to share with us.  He always had funny stories to tell.  We want to be together as long as he and Peggy were.  We will miss him.

My life will forever be changed and enriched because of Jerry. We met at bereavement group after the loss of our respective spouses. We became best friends and helped each other through a difficult year of grieving. His friendship became my lifeline and mine his. Our love for each other grew and we were able to give each other support that was immeasurable. I miss him terribly and will carry him in my heart always.

Jerry hopefully you are at peace now with your beloved Peggy.  We will miss the two of you.  The berry bush that you gave to Roger and me give us fruit every year and it feels good to have a little bit of you and Peggy with us here at home.  GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.
