Josefina Edith Rodriguez Amezcua was born on March 20th, 1939 in Michoacan Mexico to our abuelos, Lupita y Jesús. She was affectionately called Pina by most, and Josefa Coreta by her hermanita Titi. Pina is survived by her siblings Rosa Maria Murphy, Lulú Walton, Martha Sanchez, Yolanda Reeb, Maria Elena Chin, y Jorge Antonio Rodriguez, and many beloved sobrinos y primos. She is now reunited with her husband Jesús, mother, Lupita, father, Jesús, and siblings Juan Manuel, Chuy y Titi, and her godson Ryan Walton. Pina is famously known for her cooking, especially her tortillas de harina. Feeding people their favorite dishes was our Tia Pinita’s love language. Pina took her last breath on November 12, 2023 where she always wanted to be, at home surrounded by love and food and a little cafecito or cervecita. The last thing she said was “Te Adoro.” After a lifetime of loyal service, our beloved Tía Pinita is finally at rest.
