Julio Cesar Perez

It's with a heavy heart that I'm sharing the news of my son's passing. Julio Cesar Perez left us on August 16, 2025, at the age of 38. Born June 25, 1987, in Torrance, California, he was an incredible person - kind, compassionate, and loving. His strength, resilience, and unwavering determination made him truly one-of-a-kind. He'll be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Julio graduated from MAAC Community Charter School and earned a certificate from Kaplan College Prep in Medical Billing and Coding. He had a range of careers, with a strong passion for working with animals. As a teenager, he got to learn extensively and worked at Amazon Animal Hospital, starting as an Assistant Groomer and later becoming an Assistant Manager, Social Media & Website Manager, and Receptionist. He also worked as a Customer Service Representative Dispatcher at Plumbing Tree, a Sales Representative at Vector Cutco, a Dispatcher at AMR, a Patient Service Representative at Sharp Reese Stealy Center, and interned as a Scheduler and Biller & Receptionist at NextImage Medical and SunLife Physical Therapy.

Julio’s passions ranged from animals to comic books and superhero movies. Batman was his go-to superhero from a young age. Everything changed in 2015 with the birth of his son, Ezequiel. From that moment on, his only true passion was being with his son. The bond between them was deep and heartwarming to watch.

He leaves behind his son, Ezequiel D. Perez; his mother, Elsa P. Perez; his brother, Adrian Pelayo; grandparents, Jorge and Socorro Quinones; uncles and aunts, Jorge Quinones, Sandra, and Jesus Rodriguez; and Belinda Quinones. He is also survived by cousins Melina, Sarah, Ismael, Gabriel, Isaac, and Isela, as well as many friends who will hold his memory dear forever.

A Celebration of Life will be scheduled in Sept.
