He was loved for more than a century and he loved us right back. Luis, beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed peacefully of natural causes on Sunday morning, March 30, surrounded by family at the age of 101, just three weeks shy of his 102nd birthday. He is preceded in death by his wife, Ramona and eldest son Luis. Loving father of Francisca, Maria Luisa (Mark), Gloria (Ivan), Felipe (Virginia), Emilia (Ben), Edmundo (Lupita), Gabriela (Rodolfo), and Ramon (Shannon). Proud grandfather of 23 kids and great-grandfather of 12 children. Luis will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a loving man, always dressed to the nines, wearing a hat and smelling good of his favorite cologne, he loved music, especially his favorite singer Javier Solis. He had a great sense of humor, not taking life too serious, which might have been the secret to his longevity, he kept daily journals and was an unpublished author. But for fifty-plus years, his greatest passion was his San Diego Padres, he had an unwavering loyalty to a team who never delivered that World Series Championship he so longed for, in his remembrance, we’re hoping the Padres will bring it in 2025. 🤎💛
