Maria was born on December 2, 1943, in Mexicali, where she would later meet the love of her life, Antonio. In 1963, they married and began a beautiful journey together, eventually settling in Heber—a place where they would proudly call home and raise six kids.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Maria dedicated her life to nurturing her family. She created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and unconditional love—a legacy she leaves behind in the hearts of all who knew her. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, and her deep love for them was evident in everything she did. Family was the cornerstone of Maria’s life, and the values she held dear continue to live on through each generation she helped raise.
Affectionately known as "Nana," Maria had a creative spirit and a passion for arts and crafts, puzzles, and flowers. Her handcrafted decorations and thoughtful gifts now serve as lasting reminders of her love and care. When she wasn’t busy filling her home with joy, she was creating something beautiful to share with those she loved.
Maria's absence leaves a profound emptiness that cannot be filled, but her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, Antonio; her children Sandra, Yanira, Hortensia, Ruby, and Ruben; 29 grandchildren; and 48 great-grandchildren. She is now reunited in eternal peace with her son, Jesus.
Thank you, Mom, for a lifetime of love, guidance, and unwavering support. You will be deeply missed and always remembered.
