Martha Vanderpool passed into the presence of our Lord on February 27, 2013 at the age of 97. Martha was born on January 9, 1916 in Grandom, North Carolina to Albert and Gertrude Lovejoy. Martha is preceded in death by her husband, Howard Francis Vanderpool.
Martha is survived by 5 children: Janet Orlee Holmes (William), Rev. Donald Howard Vanderpool (Doris), Mary Martha Lewis (Donald), Barbara Ann Davis (Bernard) and Steve Donald Vanderpool; 12 grandchildren; 26 Great-Grandchildren; 2 Great-Great Grandchildren many nieces and nephews. Martha loved the Lord and was a member of The Parkway Nazarene Church. For many years previously, she taught a Sunday School Class at the Chula Vista Alliance Church. Martha was an excellent seamstress, making lovely wedding dresses for her daughters. A private memorial service is planned for family members.
