Nathan grew up in Raleigh, NC, attended Sanderson High School, then graduated from NC State University with a degree in Graphic Design. After moving to San Diego in the 90's, he worked for the Celgene Corporation for the majority of the past 20 years.
Nathan inherited a deep-seated desire to help those around him from his parents. He was always at his best, when providing assistance to others. His ability to make others smile and laugh was eclipsed only by his empathy and affection for those around him. Though he was an accomplished artist, his finest work could always be found in his own backyard. He truly enjoyed the time and effort spent bringing his yard and garden to life. Full of color, variety, and creativity…his yard was a reflection of his own personality. Nathan was a bit of a round peg in a square world. He was a good man, a good friend, and will be dearly missed.
Death is not extinguishing the light; it is only putting out the lamp because the dawn has come.
