Robert "Bobby" Parrish

He was welcomed into the family by his loving sister Beatrice, known as "Penny" to all.

Bobby grew up in San Diego and was a typical Southern California boy who enjoyed outdoor sports and going to the beach. He graduated from Madison High School.

In 1970 he married Deborah Tibbets and was blessed with his daughter, Shawna Marie.

Bobby worked in construction and in carpentry. His job with Great North Construction took to the "Great Unknown State of Alaska. While working on the Alaskan Pipeline, Bobby learned to fish for salmon and snow ski. When he returned to California he resumed his favorite beach activities which included water

skiing and salt water fishing. When not outdoors, Bobby enjoyed going to the movies, his favorites included anything Star Trek and all science fiction movies. His favorite states to vacation were Hawaii and

Alaska. Bobby's number one thing to do when relaxing was to spend time with family, especially his only granddaughter, Karis Coates.

Bobby is survived by his daughter Shawna Marie Coates, granddaughter Karis Coates, and sister Penny Rodriguez.

A memorial service for "Bobby" will be held Saturday, October 20, 2018 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel Chula Vista, 753 Broadway, Chula Vista, CA 91910.
