Viola Louise Witt was born on July 9th 1921 in Davenport, Iowa. She moved with her family to California on January 1st 1930 .The family settled in San Diego after turning around on the way from San Diego to Long Beach ( the intended destination), it is said her mother did not like the bridges on the old road north along the old hwy 101 along the coast.
She met Herman David Carlson (known as Carl to the family) while working at Consolidated Aircraft 1940. They later were married in Yuma Arizona on September 17th 1942.
Herman was born in Provo Utah on July 17 1920.
They are survived by 4 children, 6 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren
