

Love is an unbreakable bond that lives on through memories, stories and laughter. David Saunders age 35 lived in Citrus Heights California and passed away on April 28th, 2020. David grew up in Southern California and moved to Oregon with his family in high school. He went to Canby High School and soon after married and moved back to California where he then worked at numerous fabrication companies.
David joined the Army at the age of 22 and served a tours in Afghanistan. David was proud of his service and was awarded a Purple Heart for his wounds in combat after being hit by an IED during deployment. David recently returned from Tennessee in September of 2019 excited to be close to his two sons, Andre and Preston. He was devoted to living his life dream of being a dedicated and loving father. He spoke of his boys daily. He loved them deeply and was overjoyed with this reunion after being away for so long. David was an extremely hard worker and at his passing worked in the granite industry as a fabricator and installer.
He loved the work he did and enjoyed taking pictures to show people what he had accomplished. He took two trips to Oregon to visit his loving family in 2019 and 2020. He loved his moms amazing Mexican food and the love and support of his parents, siblings, nieces and nephews. In the end, the simple things in life were what brought him the most joy. His family, his children, his work, his dog and his loving close relationships are what mattered most to him.
David was survived by his mother Margret, father Mateo, sisters Melissa and Jessica, brother Gilbert and children Andre` age 15, Preston age 10 and Aaliyah age 16. David was loved by his family, his dog Decater and by his bonus family Cynthia and Kenny Sharp.
