Fred was born to Walter and Edna Evans in Fort Jones, CA on May 11, 1913. He lived there until 1928 when at the age of 15 his family relocated to Sacramento. He graduated from Sacramento High School in 1932 and started working for Safeway Groceries. He then began working for Butter Cream Bakers which became Sun Beam and later Blue Seal Bread until his retirement. Fred was preceded in death by his brother Alphus N. Evans, sister Helen B. Smith and 3 wives; Christine in 1965, Eleanor in 1991 and Linda in 2001. He is survived by sons Fred W. (Joanne) and Ronald (Pamela) Evans and daughter Marilyn (Rodney) Schultz. He also leaves behind numerous grand and great grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews. Private interment will be at East Lawn Memorial Park on Folsom Blvd, Sacramento.
