Joe was born in 1932 to john and Maria Pereira on the island of Faial, Azores, Portugal. He lived in King City California for decades before moving to Citrus Heights, California in 2001.
Joe was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend. He was preceded in death by by his mother, father, sister, brother, and two wives. Joe had three daughters; Yvonne, Suzette, and Lucette with his first wife Ludovina Pereira. His second wife was Paula Pereira.
In addition to his daughters Joe is survived by seven grandchildren; Nathan, Bobby, Joey, Chelsie, Rachel, Shane, Sahara, and six great-grandchildren; Kyle, Jessie, Anthony, Gabriel, Brody, Sterling, two brothers, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Joe enjoyed fishing, gardening, and playing bingo. He will be greatly missed by many.
