Kirk, I have always seen you as my second father. It is so hard to have you gone. You were always so supportive towards myself and my family. Tonight is my choir concert for choir. I was asked to do a solo for the song "Merry Christmas Darling." In class my teacher had us write a letter to a person who would be able to come to our performance that we miss dearly. I cried so hard that class period. Tonight we are all going to hold up a photo of the person we are going to be missing and mine is of you. I hope you will be present tonight, because it would mean so much to me, Kirk. I pray that in heaven you know that my family and I love you and think of you daily. May you joyful in heaven this holiday season.

Dearest Kirk,
If I only knew what you were going through, I would have told you.  If I only knew what the future holds, I would have told you.  I would have told you, you made me feel welcome when I joined Kitty's team.  I would have told you that I admired how you loved your children and put them first.  I would have told you that your passion and energy for your work and desiring the best for FTB was inspiring.  I would have told you that I enjoyed your great sense of humor and your laughter. I would have told you that I knew you were up to something funny or a practical joke because I can't remember a time when you weren't up to something funny or a practical joke.  I remember hearing you, Joseph, Mark, Phuong, and Jenny snickering, up-to-no good in the other aisle.  You had asked me for my MPAD which you dubbed as my manual pad as opposed to an IPAD that everyone else had.  You got a kick that I was the last person on Earth that did not own a cell phone and was not connected to the world.  You had compassion for me and wanted to help me be more efficient and for me not to feel behind the rest of the world that had electronic wireless devices.  So out of your awesome creativity, you designed a wireless key board for my MPAD and I still carry them today.  You made me laugh and I looked forward to your next adventure.  I am sure Jenny will remember the secret bridal shower party you organized and me playing the bridal march from your cubicle when she showed up.  I would have told you, you made coming to work fun and enjoyable.  Kirk, if I only knew, I would have told you “Thank you!  Thank you for being a wonderful teammate, for the good times, for the fun times, and most of all, for being my friend!”  You and your family will be in my prayers.  May God grant you Peace!

Hard to believe you are really gone.  You had a great passion for the interests in your life.  First and foremost of course, those being your daughters.  No Dad could have loved their children more.  They were lucky to have you.  We were lucky to know you.  Rest in Peace.

To Kirk's daughters...  It was always a delight to hear your father proudly share stories about the training you provide to guide dogs and the benefit they provide to their companions.  My thoughts and prayers are with your family at this time.

Kirk, although I've only known you a short time, I will be forever grateful to you for sharing your knowledge with me.  As a new hire, you made me feel welcome on the very first day.  Your sense of humor and many stories were a bright spot each day.  I especially enjoyed the few times we were able to go to lunch and enjoy the Philly Cheesesteaks. Kirk, I appreciate the sense of humor you brought to work everyday.  When I dressed up as a penguin for Halloween you never let me forget it.  From making that picture your screensaver on your PC and also ending discussions with "What do penguins know?  Waddle-waddle-waddle!"  You also brought hard work and determination to everything you did.  We had a lot of success here together.  Rest in peace.

Kirk, childhood memories are forever in our hearts and I remember the exact day we met.  Mom brought Bob and I across Highway 50 to your cabin and poor little guy, inquiring, "Wanna make friends?”.  You, Scott and I laughing ourselves silly and of course, we all got in trouble, but deep friendships were born that day. So many wonderful and joyful memories.  My heart is so heavy as you were such an integral and wonderful part of my youth which I reflect on with much love and laughter.  I hope that your daughters realize the far reaching imprint that you left on our hearts and lives. I am forever grateful that Bob asked you to be our friend!!

Kirk, you have been greatly missed and will continue to be greatly missed on the EDR Project.  You were a bright light, and so passionate about technological advances for the FTB.  But more than that you were a person with a big heart and so much love for life, and with a contagious smile and laugh that endeared you to our hearts!  I take comfort in knowing that you are resting in God's arms.  My prayers are with your beautiful daughters.

Kirk and I shared some wonderful talks over the past 20+ years.  He a single father of two wonderful girls, Kristen and Kathryn and myself a single mother of two sons.  Kirk like myself made his children his priority and we share some of the same parenting ideals.  He loved his little girls, first and foremost, and I so appreicated that aspect of him.  He was a wonderful man and I will miss his smiles.  God Bless you girls and your family at this time.

Thank you for all the magic shows you would put on for us cousins each Christmas day; sharing your trains, fort and pool. Dear Laurene, Scott, Kirsten and Kathryn,  I am so sorry for your loss.  I have known Kirk since childhood.  Some of my very fondest memories from growing up are playing with Kirk in the fort his Dad built in their backyard.  Later in life, Kirk, Scott and I shared a home and I have so many great memories from that time.  My prayers are with you.

I met kirk while working at FTB. Such a genuine, intelligent, caring person. Always ready to help others and share the knowledge he had. I'll never forget our group work trip to Southern California and our time at Disneyland. Screaming and laughing with Kirk while riding the roller coaster was an unforgettable thrill.My heartfelt condolences go out to his children and family in their loss. Kirk was a terrific person!

We were deeply saddened to learn of Kirk's passing. Kirk was a cousin of mine, who I would see occassionaly during the summer while he was at his family's cabin. Kirk was always friendly and happy, and enjoyed spending time with his daughters. We will miss him, and may he rest in peace.

Kirk is one of those rare individuals with a gifted intellect. I always enjoyed my time working with him at FTB. He will be missed dearly. My prayers are with him and his family for all will find peace in knowing he was loved and respected highly.

I hired Kirk to FTB some 20 years ago.  He was a bright and talented technician and a good friend to me.  He was dedicated to Kirsten and Kathryn and spoke of them often. My condolences to these girls who will miss their Dad greatly. Kirk was a good man.  I will miss him.

I began working with Kirk when i was just a teenager. There is no doubt that Kirk's passion and love of technology affected my career choices.

Kirk is a truely respectable person and a great team lead. I have only worked with him for a few month, I wish I had more time to learn from him.
