She was preceded in death by her parents Bernie and Maudie Crouse of Ellensburg,WA, brothers Arthur Crouse, Bernie Crouse, and James Crouse, and loving husband Ray.
Survivors include two sisters, Dori Wells of Olympia, WA and Helen Brown of Milton-Freewater, OR, and children Steven Larimer of Bullard, TX, Beverly Jean Bailey of Ellensburg, WA, Charles Larimer of Ellensburg, WA, Deana Reynolds of Antelope, CA and Anthony Reynolds of Las Vegas NV. Leona was a loving aunt and grandmother of many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Leona spent most of her life putting her family first, but there was no doubt she was a dynamic individual herself. She assisted her husband Ray with many of his businesses, and had 10 enjoyable years working for the state of California doing bookkeeping. She was an avid reader, and a prolific creator of crocheted afghans. An award-winning bowler, champion horseshoe player, and a fierce competitor at card games, she taught all of her children that no matter what you do, always give all your effort and do your best, and you’ll never go wrong.
She was always the one you could count on in hard times. Family, friend, acquaintance, or friend of a friend, she was always there for support. All you had to do was ask. We will miss her sense of humor, her strength, her love, and her laugh.
