Robert Vega in Roseville March 18, 2012. Mr. Vega was born April 4, 1935 in Madera, CA and was 76 years of age at the time of his death. He is survived by his long time companion Anthony Vontash of Antelope. Beloved father of Robert Vega II of Santa Clara, John Vega of Paradise, Ruben Vega of San Jose and Ben Vega of San Jose. Loved brother of Gus Vega of Mountain View and Henry Vega of Antelope. Cherished grandfather of Virgil Vega, Charity Vega, Raphael Vega, Shiloh Vega, Nichole Pereira and Brandon Pereira, and great grandfather of Nolan King. Mr. Vega grew up in Mountain View and graduated from Mountain View High School and was a longtime resident of San Jose moving to Antelope, CA in 1994.He was a gardener for the City of San Jose for 23 years and he proudly served his country in the US Navy for 4 years. Friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life Service Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 4:00 PM at Reichert's Funeral Chapel, 7320 Auburn Blvd., Citrus Heights, CA. Private interment will be at Sylvan District Cemetery, Citrus Heights, CA.
