

Amado “Jun” Reyes Nievera passed away on August 8, 2021 at the age of 81 at his home in Surprise, Arizona. He was surrounded by his family, and entered into Eternal Rest peacefully. His battle with various medical issues in recent years showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile. Despite it all, Jun came out a hero, and stayed strong until the very end.
Jun met the love of is his life, Rebecca Canaya while in San Francisco, and the two were married on April 4, 1970. Together they have three children: Ronald Jasen, Robert John and Judith Annabelle, whom they raised in San Francisco.
Jun was a Vietnam Veteran serving 6 years in the US Navy, and later moved on to United Airlines where he retired after 27 years. His love for travel took him to Europe, Spain, South America, various parts of Asia, and in 2016 to a Holy Land tour where he washed his feet in the Jordan River, entered caves in Bethlehem, and visited the wailing wall. Ever at his side, was his beloved wife Girlie.
His love for his family saw frequent travels from Arizona to California and Hawaii to visit his children and grandchildren. His pride and joy for his family was endless. His love will continue on through each and every one of his children.
Jun is survived by his wife: Rebecca, his son Ronald (Virginia) and grandchildren Ronan (Mycah), Ryan, and Roni, his son Robert (Elizabeth) and grandchildren Rosco and Ryder, his daughter Judith (Monico) and grandchildren Olivia, Calliope, and Maverick.
