She was born on October 2, 1942, in Jourdanton Texas daughter of Jesus and Gonzala Arredondo Hernandez.
Angelita was a woman of great faith, who put her God and her family above all else in her life. She was a life member of Saint Ann’s Catholic Church. She was a great wife and mother but an even better grandmother and great-grandmother. To those that loved her she was a living breathing heart- love in motion. She didn’t just keep others in her prayers; she gave selflessly.
Angelita started working from a young girl in the fields with her family picking cotton and harvesting fruit. It was while cotton picking where she met the love of her life and the father of her children Margarito Coronado who won her heart while carrying her basket. After marrying she started her life-long journey as a nurse’s aide, helping many in Mitchell County. In her spare time, she enjoyed watching her novellas, and cooking for family. Some fan favorites were her menudo, enchiladas, and her tamales. The memories shared and laughs along the way will be cherished for an eternity.
Angelita is survived by her loving husband Margarito Coronado, by children Frank Coronado of Colorado City, Gracie Coronado of New Braunfels, Joe Coronado and wife Georgann Tester-Smith of Colorado City, Alex Coronado and wife Sylvia Sosa of Colorado City, Rick Coronado of Colorado City, Rachel Gover and husband Brian of Northlake, and son-in-law Ruben Garcia Sr. of Colorado City. Also surviving are 17 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 9 siblings, and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Jesus and Gonzala Hernandez, and by children Becky Garcia, Shelly Coronado, Irmalinda Coronado, Tony Coronado, and by 5 siblings
