She was born on April 4, 1932 in Colorado City a daughter of Guadalupe and Matilde Alvarez Olivas.
Angelita was a good hearted woman with a faith in God and devotion to her Catholic faith that is hard to match. She spent countless hours praying for her family and friends, one of many generosities that she provided over the years as she was not one to hold back giving people things if they needed. She was a natural social butterfly spending a lot of her free time with friends, whether at BINGO or going out for coffee with her church family. She held many jobs over the years from housekeeping and home health to working at a sewing factory. She was a hard worker and loved to help in providing for her family. Over the years she taught her family the importance of being in touch with their creative side, teaching them to sew, crochet, decorate cakes, and much more. In her spare time she enjoyed spending time with family and friends, working in her garden, tending to flowers and watching the Dallas Cowboys.
Angelita is survived by her sons Carlos Gomez and wife Jane of Abilene and Raul Gomez and wife Jody of Longview and by a daughter Susie Molina, as well as by grandchildren; Gracie Loza, Brian Gomez, Stephanie Wright, Roy Gomez Jr., Tyler Gomez, Josh Woodell, Priscilla Castro, Melissa Lara, and Raymond Molina Jr. and by several great and great-great grandchildren with a couple on the way. She is also survived by her brother Roberto Olivas and wife Irma of Big Spring, by sisters Alicia Loe and husband Cruz of Odessa and Alejandra Hernandez of Amarillo, as well as by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Guadalupe and Matilde Olivas, by her husband Ernesto Gomez, a son Roy Gomez Sr., a granddaughter Alisha Goins, and a sister Maria Barrera.
