Ann Brown

Mrs. Ann Brown, age 81, of Colorado City, died Tuesday, April 23, 2013, in a Midland hospital. Services will be at 11 AM Friday. April 26, 2013, in the First United Methodist Church with Dr. Jerry Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the Colorado City Cemetery under the care and direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.

Mrs. Brown was born August 28. 1931 in Dawson County, Texas to O. C. and Myrtle Carroll Derington and had been a resident of Colorado City since 1963. She married Vaughn Brown on November 11, 1949 in Portales, NM. He preceded her in death on April 17, 2011. She was a cafeteria worker for the Colorado ISD for 18 years and a former member of St. Luke’s Methodist Church and more recently a member of the First Methodist Church.

She is survived by 2 daughters: Donna and husband Joe Love and Karen Brown, all of Midland; 1 grandson, Christopher Love of Midland and 2 step grandchildren, Breanna Brown and Mike Kinnett, both of Dallas.

She is also preceded in death by a son, Jerry Brown, her parents, and a brother, Bobby Derington.

The family will receive friends 6-8 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
