Beda Castro

She was born in the Loraine Texas area on May 27, 1936 to Jose and Maria Esquivel Sanchez.

Beda was a stay at home mother her entire life. She loved being at home raising and enjoying her family and it showed as she was the best mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother a person could have. Together with her husband Jesus Castro Sr. whom she married on September 10, 1955, she was blessed to be a parent, grandparent, and great-grandparent. She enjoyed flowers, especially the colorful ones. Beda was a very faithful woman, she was a member of Saint Josephs Catholic Church in Loraine, and a member of the Guadalupana’s and loved to help them cook. In her spare time she could be seen enjoying a sweet or while watching her soaps. She also enjoyed going shopping, listening to music, garage sales, and doing her word searches.

She is survived by her sons Jesse Castro Jr. of Loraine, Armando Castro of Abilene, and Hector Castro of Big Spring, by daughters Estella Lara and husband Martin of Abilene, Janie Gonzales and husband Michael Polanco of Abilene, and Angelica Castro Lambaren and husband Jesse of Loraine, by a son-in-law Larry Gonzales, by grandchildren Elian Castro, Adam Castro, Emilio Gonzales, Addrian Lara, Maria Alexandra Lambaren, Nadia Gonzales, Jessica Lambaren, Monica Castro, Oscar Gonzales, Veronica Castro, Melissa Castro, Sarah Lambaren, Elias Gonzales, Amanda Lara, Cristian Perez, Austen Castro, and Andrew Castro, as well as be 16 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her sisters Martha Salinas of Loraine, Epifania Garza of Loraine, and Herminia Aguilar and husband Roberto of Loraine.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jesus Castro Sr., by her parents Jose and Maria Sanchez, by her sweet angel granddaughter Ava Aramari Castro, by brothers George Sanchez, Florentino Sanchez, and Estanislado Sanchez, and by sisters Jesusita Badillo and Leonore Badillo.

The family will be present for a visitation on Thursday, February 10th from 5-7 pm with a rosary to follow at 7 pm in the Kiker Seale Funeral Home Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial for Beda will be held on Friday, February 11th at 10 am at Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church in Loraine with the interment to follow in the Loraine Cemetery.
