A 2001 graduate of Colorado High School, Bo obtained a Computer Science Degree from Texas State Technical College in Sweetwater in 2003. He graduated with a B.A. in Biology from Lubbock Christian University in 2010.
Bo worked as a Network Administrator and Information Technology Manager. Later in his career he worked in the Wind Turbine Industry. He was a Senior Wind Technician specializing in GE turbines. He did everything from large component installation to trouble shooting.
Bo was raised on the family ranch and had a deep love for the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles, and snow skiing. You could always find him cheering on his Red Raiders or Dallas Cowboys on game day. These hobbies brought him great joy. He had a kind spirit and he liked to help others. Among family members Bo was known for his delicious rum cake and homemade salsa. In the tradition of his grandmother Fredalyn, he loved to make Neiman Marcus cakes. Even better, he liked to share them.
Bo had fun and enjoyed the challenge of working on computers. It was a God-given gift. His dad discovered he hacked into the Colorado Independent School District’s T1 line to get faster internet during dial-up service days. When his dad asked him why he did it, he explained that the school didn’t require that much band width and they would never miss it. Friends from high school reported that Bo could and would hack any network just to see if it could be done. Bo “assisted” friends in college by taking their finals on the computer.
Bo is survived by his wife, Chelsea Duncan Everett, and a daughter, Harper. He is also survived by his parents, Bill and Toni (Wulfjen) Everett, of Colorado City; a sister, Sagan Everett, of Abilene; his grandfather Billy Jim Everett, of Snyder.
Surviving uncles and aunts include Mike and Debbie Everett of Colorado City, Urda and Dwainna Wulfjen of Lubbock, and James Cole and Kakai Wulfjen of Colorado City. Bo was preceded in death by his brother, Billy James Everett, maternal grandparents James and Marjorie Wulfjen, and his paternal grandmother, Fredalyn Everett.
Bo’s Celebration of Life will be held at the Wulfjen-Everett Family Cemetery (west of the Everett residence) on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at 2 p.m. Jay Lott of Lubbock, Texas will officiate.
