

Faye Nell was born in Loraine on November 26, 1937 to David L Jackson and Ollie House Jackson.
Faye Nell was a woman who was dedicated to her Lord, her family, and her community. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Colorado City and worked for many years in the loan department of City National Bank. Those that knew her, knew that her children and grandchildren were everything to her. She rarely missed a sporting event for any of her children or grandchildren, no matter where in the state the game was. She was a sweet and understanding woman with a self-less attitude, always caring for friends, neighbors, and strangers alike. Faye Nell had many hobbies. She enjoyed cooking for the family, especially on holidays which was her favorite time of the year. She like gardening and sewing and playing Farkle with her friends amongst other games. She also enjoyed dancing at the Colorado City Senior Dance Club, and traveling all over the country, as well as to Cabo. She was a woman with a lot of energy for 82 years who left a life legacy of passion for others, a commitment to her Lord and a love of family that will be passed on for generations to come.
Faye Nell is survived by her sons Kevin Herm and wife Dianna of Lewisville and Kerry Herm and wife Heejon of Leander, by her daughters Karen Cook of Bedford and Karla Hammond and husband Jeff of Belton, as well as by a sister Frances White of Colorado City. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Toby Herm, Vanessa Herm, Brittany Stelzer, Cody Cook, Joshua Cook, Shane Cook, Bailey Borger, Brooklyn Borger, Braden Hammond, Carson Hammond, Easton Hammond, Cloe Herm and Benjamin Herm, and by her great-grandchildren Pierce Lowry, Grace Stelzer, Audrey Stelzer, Tenley Myers, Westen Myers, Coy Cook, and Colt Cook.
She was preceded in death by her husband James Allen Herm.
A funeral service for Faye Nell will be held on Saturday, December 14th at 2 pm at the Calvary Baptist Church of Colorado City with Doctor Jerry Shields officiating, burial will follow in the Colorado City Cemetery.
The family will be present for a visitation at Kiker Seale Funeral Home on December 13th from 6-8 pm.
