Mr. Ferron Forbes, age 79, of Colorado City, died Monday, February 23, 2015, in an Abilene hospital. As per his request, he will be cremated and a private family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
Mr. Forbes was born March 9, 1935 in Mitchell County to John M and Bessie Chism Forbes and had been a lifelong resident. He married Peggy Mitchell on September 12, 1985 in Colorado City. He was employed by TXU for 34 years retiring as a shift leader and a member of the Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife Peggy Forbes of Colorado City; a daughter, Pam and husband, Weldon Walker of Colorado City; a son, Jebby and wife, Mellie Forbes of Colorado City; 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; a sister, Johnnie Lee Kucker of Shawnee Mission, KS; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to the Parkinson Society or donor’s favorite charity.
