Mr. Gene Horn, age 75, of Colorado City passed away on April 22, 2014 in an Abilene hospital. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at 11AM at the Prairie Haven Cemetery in Hobbs, NM with Cory Morris officiating.
Gene was born on March 17, 1939 in Tom, OK to Roy and Gladys Horn. He worked in the oil field for many years.
Those left to cherish Gene's memory are his daughters, Debbie Massingill and husband Travis of Colorado City, Phyllis Wilson and husband Don; and Kathy Horn, all of Hobbs, NM; seven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; sisters, Nelda Worley and husband Russell of Midland, TX, and Connie White and husband Gary of Lovington, NM; brother, Gerald Horn of Hobbs, NM; as well as a special niece, Ruth Ana Hawk of Midland, TX.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy Horn and Gladys Wilkerson-Horn; wife, Johnnie Horn; son, Ricky Horn; and his step-daughter, Letha.
