AVIS DE DÉCÈS
Jessie E. Dorn
6 février 1928 – 18 janvier 2021
Jessie E. Dorn 92, wife of the late James (Jack) Dorn walked into the gates of Heaven January 18, 2021. Jessie was born in Mitchell County February 6, 1928 to Charlie Alvin and Maurine Burrow Iglehart. On January 4, 1946 Jessie married the love of her life James (Jack) Dorn in Westbrook, Texas. She was a lifetime member of Dorn Chapel United Methodist Church and served as the church secretary for many years. She worked as the cafeteria manager for Westbrook ISD for a number of years, but her greatest profession was as a wife, homemaker and mother to her two girls. Jessie was the type of person that made you want to be a better person. She always had her Bible opened on her table. It was very evident that she studied and read it on a daily basis. Jessie will be remembered as being a lady that exhibited the Fruits of the Spirit, her walk was a testimony of her faith in Jesus Christ. She didn’t just read her bible, she lived her bible. She was a lady full of compassion and always put everyone else’s needs before her own. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly; she could be found at any activity that they were participating in. Jessie will be missed by the family she leaves behind: Daughter and Son-in-law Dana and Bobby Moody of Colorado City, Texas, Daughter and Son-in-law Teresa and Bobby Matlock of Colorado City, Texas. Granddaughters Kristin and Husband Paul Browne, Kaci and Husband Kyle Rainbolt all of Colorado City, Texas. Grandsons Chris and Wife Melissa Matlock, Jared and Wife Virginia Matlock all of San Angelo, Texas. Great-grandchildren Sebastian Rincones and Fiancé Carrie Chaney, Jude Browne, Rebekah Browne, Remi Rainbolt, Swayzee Rainbolt, Jericho Matlock, Piper Matlock, Sparrow Matlock, Judson Matlock, Bergan Matlock and Wonder Matlock, as well as her best friend Naomi Williamson and many nieces, nephews, dear friends, and loving church family. She is preceded in death by her Husband James Dorn, parents Charlie and Maurine Iglehart, grandson Kevin Blake Matlock, Sisters Bertha Hamill and Marie Sanderson. There will be a visitation for Jessie, Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at the Dorn Chapel United Methodist Church from 1:00-2:00 PM with Funeral Service beginning at 2:00 PM and Graveside proceeding the service at the Dorn Cemetery. Services will be Officiated by Horace Abbott and Kyle Rainbolt. In Lieu of flowers the family asks that you please consider making donations to the Dorn Cemetery, P. O. My prayers go out for the families. My parents were good friends to Mrs Dorn and her husband back in the 60's when my siblings and I went to school at Westbrook and lived at the Lake. Her daughters Danna And Theresa I have known a long time, and they both were blessed with a Great Mother. She is in heaven now and with Jesus. Soon we will go there to be with them at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. God bless you all.

Dear sweet aunt Jessie will always be remembered by me as a kind and gentle aunt. I have nothing but fond memories of her when I was a child. I was always thrilled when mom would tell me we were going to visit aunt Jessie. I haven't seen her much since my mom died but she most definitely had a lasting impression om me during my formative years as a child. She was a wonderful sister to my mom and the world was blessed by her. God has just received a bright jewel in heaven.
