He was born on October 17, 1950 in Loraine to the late Amador and Margarita Delgado Castro.
Joe was a great man who loved everyone as much as they loved him. He worked hard all his life to provide not just for his wife and children but for his grandchildren and all those around him. He was the type of man that would give you the shirt off his back and ask for nothing in return. He was a great husband, father and grandfather. He adored all of his grandchildren, and not a day went by that he did not mourn the passing of his granddaughter Kylee. In his spare time he enjoyed watching the Texas Rangers play ball and collecting hats, pocket knives and John Deere nick-nacks. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.
Joe is survived by his loving wife Tami Castro of Loraine, by a son Anthony Aaron of Abilene, and a daughter Lauren McCune and husband Tyler of Bemidji Minnesota, as well as by grandchildren Libby McCune, Avery McCune, Rosalyn McCune, and Adeline Elizabeth McCune. He is also survived by several brothers and sisters.
He was preceded in death by his parents Amador and Margarita Castro, by a granddaughter Kylee Conway.
A celebration of his life will be held by the family at the Loraine First Baptist Church on Saturday, September 13th at 11 am.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Kiker Seale Funeral Home.
